Jorie Fleming has a very personal connection to supporting cancer research. Jorie, a sales associate in William Raveis’ Eastham office, talks about her mother’s battle with cancer on her William Raveis Ride + Walk page.
“In my efforts to honor the memory of my mom, Betty Fleming, please join me and our company in supporting this fantastic event and the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. 100% of all donations will go directly to research. The work that these scientists, do will one day soon produce a cure. Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation has invested over $287 million in the best and brightest scientists in the nation. Eleven Damon Runyon scientists have received the Nobel Prize and many others have made important discoveries that have led – and are continuing to lead – to new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat all forms of cancer.
I’ve participated in several cancer research fundraising events in the years since my mom passed away and by continuing to support and promote events like this and organizations who are on the cutting edge, we’ll surely help bring about a cure.
